Senior Spotlight 2024
Isaac Caldwell
Isaac is the son of Levi and Miranda Caldwell. He is the fourth of five siblings and is an active member of the Smithville baseball team and yearbook. In his spare time, Isaac enjoys hunting, fishing, and trapping. After graduation, Isaac plans on attending Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology to pursue a career as a High Voltage Lineman.

Tanner Bowen
Tanner is the son of Justin and Jennfier Bowen. In his free time, he enjoys spending time on the lake fishing from his boat, and hunting. He also enjoys going roping with his family. After graduation, Tanner plans to attend OSU-IT to pursue a career as a high voltage lineman.

HS and JH Baseball games scheduled for today have been canceled!
As we enter the playoffs in slow pitch softball and baseball this is the schedule as of now weather permitting. Some of these days and times are no guarantee and we hope to get them in this week with rain in the forecast.
Slow pitch districts at Lefore starting at 10am on Wednesday April 17th.
Baseball districts in Smithville starting with Whitesboro vs Eagletown at 11am on Tuesday April 16th with games being played both Tuesday and Wednesday during the daytime weather permitting.
Congratulations to Senior FFA member, Claire Walden! This spring, Claire will be honored as a recipient of the Oklahoma State FFA Degree!

Claire has been awarded a Livestock Judging Scholarship for Eastern Oklahoma State College and will be on the EOSC Livestock Judging Team in the Fall. Claire signed her letter of intent today.

Softball Senior Night!! Today!!
Mrs. Fairless received the Carolyn Watts Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation Grant this year. Through this grant she has been able to take students on a field trip, rent a Pioneer Trunk, and 3rd grade will be having a Land Run on April 22nd. Attached are pictures of students observing artifacts from the Pioneer Trunk she rented from the Oklahoma Historical Society. The 3rd graders were able to observe and demonstrate how the pioneers lived on the Oklahoma prairie during the 1800s.

The 3rd grade class made an egg dropping device with materials they had at home. We tested out their device to see if the egg would survive from a 12 foot drop!
Congratulations to Savannah Tipton for placing 3rd in her division for the McCurtain County Trash Contest!! There were 222 entries in her division. All 28 county level winners are eligible to win at the state level.
