Due to scheduling conflicts and last minute changes stemming from the State Softball game change, we will not be able to hand out our yearbooks until Friday, May 16th!! If your child is not at school on this day, you will be able to pick them up between 9AM and Noon on Friday, May 16th!!

Due to weather, State softball for tomorrow, May 7th has been rescheduled for the same time and place on Monday, May 12.
We will be in school tomorrow, May 7th, and out of school Monday, May 12.

Congratulations Addley!!

Commencement will be Tuesday, May 13th at 7PM

Today was the annual kindergarten kickball game, red vs blue! The blue team pulled away with the win 19 to 14.



The 3rd and 4th graders who have met their reading goal all year were treated to a movie at Mena Silver Screen today! Way to read, guys and gals!

Benjamin brought his baby turkey for show and tell Thursday. The kids loved it!

These boys took time during their recess to help some of the first graders by playing baseball with them and giving them pointers. Great job, guys!

Congratulations Paris!!

This past week, 17 students traveled to Oklahoma City for the State Scholastic Meet. In order to qualify for this trip, you had to place 1st - 5th at one of the preliminary meets. When competing at the state level, our students are competing against the best of the best across the state. The following students placed in the top 10 of the state!
Jarron Ford - 10th Place in Computer Science I
Hunter Hodges - 7th Place in Computer Science II and 10th Place in Art History and terms
Lane Johnson - 5th Place in Business Math and 10th Place in Trigonometry
Allie Boles - 8th Place in Accounting
Bryan Conley - 9th Place in Accounting, 9th Place in Trigonometry, 10th place in Senior Scholar, and 6th Place in Geography
Zaden Crawford - 2nd Place in General Business
Paris Lancaster - 7th Place in General Business and 5th Place in Speech and Communications
Karsyn Perrin - 6th Place in Speech and Communications
Noah Murray - 9th Place in Physical Science

Smithville will play against Lookeba-Sickles on Wednesday at 2:30.
Semifinals at 5:30
Finals at 7:00
All Smithville games will be played on field 4 at Firelake Ball Fields in Shawnee.

May Elementary/Middle School Calendar
Due to school being let out next Wednesday for the State Softball Tournament, PreK Pre-Enrollment will only be on Monday and Tuesday next week. We hope to see you then!
