Every student who exhibited animals at the McCurtain County Fair for Smithville 4-H and FFA qualified animals for the premium sale. 10 students went through the sale ring on Saturday night and were fortunate to receive donations from multiple county and state residents on their 27 animals. These funds will help these students not only buy their next group of animals, but also help pay to feed them and also hopefully help put money towards their future after high school. This is the second year in a row Smithville FFA has received the C.L. Campbell Travelling Trophy award for the most and highest placing sale animals. This award is rich with tradition for our county and it is an honor to be able to receive this award.
