Smithville High School Salutatorian for the 2022-2023 school year is Jessamyn Lowman.
Jessamyn Lowman is the 17-year-old daughter of Atiya Ward and Jimboy Lowman. She is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Linda Lowman. Jessamyn is a member of Choir, Quiz Bowl team, and FCCLA. She enjoys listening to music, and cooking with her loved ones. Upon graduation, Jessamyn plans to attend the University of Arkansas Cossatot.


Smithville High School Co-Valedictorians for the 2022-2023 School year are Joseph Boles and Jessica Green.
Joseph Boles is the 18-year-old son of Russell and Tonya Boles. Joseph is the grandson of Mike and Barbara Palmer of Idabel. He is also the grandson of Jim Boles of Watson. Joseph is very involved in FFA and is the current president of our local chapter. He plans on running for a State FFA office this spring. Joseph enjoys duck hunting and playing baseball. Since a young age, Joe has lived and worked on his family's ranch. Upon graduating he plans to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in Ag business.
Jessica Michele Green is the 17 year old daughter of Amanda Hutson and Thomas and Christy Green of Plunketville, OK. She is the granddaughter of Doris Floyd of Vandervoort, AR. Jessica is a member of the FCCLA, the Scholastic team, and FFA. Jessica plans to attend Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology to pursue a career in Nursing.

There has been a scheduling change to high school baseball regarding April 3. We were scheduled to play Eagletown at home , however we are now scheduled to play Mena High School at Mena instead .

2023 Smithville Middle School Honor Graduates Announced
Co-Valedictorians are Annbra McDaniel and Memphis Murray. Salutatorian is Allie Hoobler.
Annbra McDaniel is the daughter of Cody and Melissa McDaniel. She is the granddaughter of Curtis and Debbie McDaniel and Tom and Anna Caudell. Annbra plays basketball and softball, and is a member of FFA, 4-H, and Panther Creek Christian Church.
Memphis Murray is the son of Landon and Brittany Murray. He is the grandson of Loyd and Kerri Murray and Steve and Debbie McMellon. Memphis plays basketball and baseball, and is a member of FFA, 4-H, and Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
Allie Hoobler is the daughter of Steven and Sondra Hoobler. She is the granddaughter of Bill Hoobler and Jean Huff and Jock and Karlene Owens. Allie is a member of FFA and Smithville Assembly of God.

High school baseball will be traveling tomorrow to Atoka sports complex to play Stringtown at 2pm.

ATTENTION:
The High School Baseball tournament scheduled for this week at home has been canceled due to extremely wet conditions on the field and more forecasted rain.
The High School baseball team will travel tomorrow for a game and more information will be announced a little later regarding location and time.

Congratulations to Blaklie Charlton on winning the Choctaw Electric Cooperative's Essay Contest. She was one of 3 winners selected from all CEC coverage area 8th graders who submitted an essay. The topic of this year's essay was: "If there was not electricity in your area what would you use to produce electricity to power your home?" She won an all-expenses paid trip to Energy Camp.
