Yearbook Fundraiser
Each year, our yearbook staff heads out into the local and surrounding communities to sell yearbook ads. I thought I would share a little information on the yearbook ads and the purpose behind them.
As with all things, the cost of yearbooks have risen substantially over the years. We are dedicated to keeping the costs low for our students and families, so that more people may be able to purchase these keepsakes. We sell our yearbooks for $25 each, however it costs roughly $65 to produce each yearbook. This is where the yearbook ads come in and offset the costs for our students. By purchasing an ad from our yearbook staff, you are filling in the gap and making sure that our students have better access to affordable yearbooks. In return, your business becomes part of our memories and is seen by all who view our yearbook.
Many have noticed that we do our ads a little differently than some other schools. We have two options for ads, shared space at the bottom of the page or individual space. We place our business ads at the bottom of the student pages so that your business is more visible by families. Also, we do not sell Senior ad space. Instead, we allot the same amount of space for each senior without increasing the cost of the yearbook or selling ads to families for this. Seniors are represented equally this way.
If you or your business would like to purchase an ad sponsorship you can reach out to Amanda Morris at 580-244-3281, or amorris@smithville.k12.ok.us. We can set up a time that our students can come to you to make the sale, or you can do it over the phone or online with Mrs. Morris.

Smithville Lady Braves Traveled to OKC this past weekend to participate in the Hall of Fame Festival at Devon Park!
Kindergarten students were rewarded with a sweet treat for identifying letters E-H, the sounds the letters make, and recognizing their sight words correctly! Keep up the good work work kiddos!!

Exciting News!!!
You may have noticed construction taking place beside the Administration Offices on campus over the last couple of weeks. This is a new storm shelter that is being put in place. Expected completion is November 2026. This shelter will be large enough to house the entire high school population, as well as community members, in the event of a tornado during school hours! The storm shelter is being provided by the Town of Smithville and Smithville Public Schools. We are excited to have this addition!
Note: The storm shelter located at the Elementary Campus will still be utilized. The new shelter will just provide extra coverage!
