An icon of the Smithville Public Schools got a refresh and an upgrade this summer. The mural that has long greeted staff, students, and community members at the Elementary School was in need of a refresh, and that is just what Hunter Hodges, a Junior at Smithville High School, did this summer! He worked through the heat and brought his vision to life brush stroke by brush stroke. We are so proud of his work and love the new look! Thank you Hunter Hodges!! You did an amazing job on this mural!!

Today, we proudly introduce the Senior Class of 2027! This class has filled our halls with laughter, memories, and a little bit of chaos. We have watched them grow, cheer each other on, make us laugh, and occasionally test our patience! We look forward to celebrating their achievements, milestones, and memories throughout the year. Join us in wishing the Class of 2027 an incredible senior year, filled with success, growth, and unforgettable moments!

Smithville JOM School Supplies for Pre K-8th pick up today August, 4 at 1:00-to 6:00 pm.
High School JOM supplies will be handed out on the first day of at the High School

Just a reminder that Yearbook 26-27 Interviews are being held today at the High School Library 10AM - 2PM. Come at your convenience! 10th - 12th Grade Students are eligible to participate!

What to expect... Dress is business casual and it will be an informal interview with Mrs. Morris.

HS/JH baseball game for Tuesday August 4th has been cancelled .

Smithville Virtual Academy Information for grades 9th-12th is posted below. If your child is interested in enrolling for the virtual/blended program they can attend do so at the high school office Monday, July 27th between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Additionally, enrollment packets for high school students were mailed earlier this week. Juniors and Seniors who wish to make changes to their schedules can do so Tuesday, July 28th between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and for Freshman and Sophomores on Wednesday, July 29th between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 pm. All incoming Freshman have paperwork that needs to be completed upon the start of school, so please make plans to come by Wednesday. We look forward to welcoming our students back on campus Thursday, August 6th, 2026.

Junior High/High school baseball at Red Oak 11am Thursday July 23. Bus is leaving at 8:30am. Please be there by 8 to get uniforms.

HS/JH Baseball scrimmage schedule for Tuesday July 21st against Clayton has been cancelled. The HS will have practice at 1pm in its place.
